A Glorious Christmas Baroque Concert In Newcastle Cathedral

Internationally acclaimed chamber orchestra London Concertante will perform at Newcastle Cathedral on Friday 20th November for a 7:30pm concert celebrating the splendour of the Baroque era and the magic of Christmas.

Set amidst the gentle glow of candlelight, the programme features a stunning selection of seasonal masterpieces. Audiences will be treated to Vivaldi’s timeless Four Seasons, alongside Torelli’s and Corelli’s festive Christmas concertos, and the majestic Overture from Handel’s Messiah. Together, these works promise a stirring and joyful celebration of the season, filled with melody, energy, and emotion.

The evening will capture the very essence of the Baroque - dazzling virtuosity, rich harmonies, and expressive power - all enhanced by the warm flicker of candlelight in one of the North East’s most historic buildings.
