Brick Explorers comes to RHS Garden Bridgewater for a summer of family fun

Families across Greater Manchester are invited to discover a summer of creativity, play and outdoor exploration as Brick Explorers arrives at RHS Garden Bridgewater from 18 July to 31 August 2026.
Set within 154 acres of beautiful garden, this engaging summer programme offers a packed schedule of family-friendly activities designed to inspire curiosity about nature and wildlife.
Brick Explorers sculpture trail
Saturday 18 July – Monday 31 August, 10am – 6pm
Gardens are full of life, where plants, birds, insects, mammals and fungi all have superpowers that help them thrive. Your mission – find the incredible brick-built wildlife sculptures hidden around the garden, collect their superpowers and match the stickers in your activity booklet.
Along the way, visitors can discover how to support garden wildlife and create thriving habitats for nature.
Brick Explorers build station
Saturday 18 – Friday 24 July, Marquee
Every Tuesday – Friday from 28 July – 28 August, Learning Studios
Drop-in, 11am – 4pm
Get creative at the brick building station and help transform a grey city into a greener, more wildlife-friendly space. Visitors can add their own nature-inspired brick creations and explore how plants and gardens can bring urban environments to life.
Buzz – a theatre experience
Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July
Monday 3, 10, 17 and 24 August
20-minute shows at 11am, 1pm and 3pm
Discover the magical world of Buzz, an enchanting interactive theatre experience from Colour the Clouds Theatre Company. Join Betty the Beekeeper on an immersive storytelling adventure and learn how biodiversity helps nature thrive, inspiring the whole family to care for the world around them.
All activities are included with normal garden admission.
The RHS is proud to be supporting the Great British Summer Savings campaign enabling families to enjoy a day out in nature this summer for less with savings on RHS Garden admissions and lower prices on children’s meals in all RHS Cafes and restaurants. The trail is included with standard garden admission. Children aged 5–16 start from £5.25, adults start from £13.75. Visitors travelling car-free can save even more, with 30% off garden admission, making it even easier to enjoy an affordable day out.
RHS Garden Bridgewater is well connected by public transport, with the Bee Network 33 bus running regularly between Manchester city centre and the garden, offering a simple and convenient option for visitors.
