Grassroots Music Venues Unite For Everywhere At Once Weekend
From Falmouth to Aberdeen, over 2,000 artists will perform across hundreds of live music events, spanning genres and showcasing the diversity of Britain's music scene.
Among the established names returning to grassroots stages: Becky Hill plays a hometown show at The Marrs Bar in Worcester, Tinie Tempah performs in Newcastle, Norwich and Southampton, The Lathums return to The Boulevard in Wigan as part of a two-show run, and Rizzle Kicks play a Brighton hometown show. The Divine Comedy, Master Peace, Jodie Harsh, Toddla T, Brooke Combe, VLURE, Royston Club, Miki Berenyi Trio, Tom A. Smith and Vigilantes also feature, alongside local and emerging acts.
Becky Hill, who first played The Marrs Bar at 16, said grassroots venues had been essential to her development as a young musician. "There were no arts-focused schools in my area, so the only way to nurture my newly found passion was at grassroots venues. It saddens me greatly that grassroots venues are at risk, as I believe homegrown music is key to our country's culture."
Alex Moore of The Lathums added: "Without places like The Boulevard taking a chance on us early doors, we wouldn't be anywhere near the festivals or the bigger shows we're doing now."
The weekend is powered by The National Lottery, whose players have contributed over £1 billion to music across the UK. Delivery is led by Music Venue Trust with Save Our Scene and the Association of Independent Promoters. Audiences will also be able to donate to War Child, Nordoff and Robbins, Help Musicians UK, and Teenage Cancer Trust at point of purchase.
The partnership builds on 2021's Revive Live Tour, which helped venues reopen after the pandemic.
